PresCare has been an integral part of the Maryborough community for almost four decades. Our two aged care communities, Yaralla Place and Groundwater Lodge, are managed with a fresh, regional focus that includes exciting upgrades and an award-winning staff culture program. With these improvements, residents are now enjoying an even better place to call home.

Creating a true sense of home
Our communities are divided into smaller households that mirror the look and rhythm of home. Instead of vast communal areas, residents share their own homestyle lounge, dining and kitchen areas. Your light-filled room can be furnished and decorated as you like, and you can enjoy the simple pleasures of a traditional backyard, with established gardens and veggie patches.
Carers who get to know you well
Our Carers and Nurses focus on you as a person, getting to know your story, likes and routine. On-hand 24/7, they provide a holistic care experience tailored to your needs. With specialist expertise across all aspects of aged care, including infection control, respite, dementia and palliative care, they support each resident with kindness and compassion.
Design your own day
Just like at home, you decide how you’d like to spend your day. When you rise, eat and shower is up to you, and you’re supported to keep doing the things you’ve always enjoyed, like watering the garden, visiting the hairdresser, and continuing your interests. There’s no set visiting hours, so you can welcome friends and family whenever you like.
Meaningful activities that bring enjoyment
We support you to find comfort, enjoyment and meaning in your daily life. Our resident-driven Lifestyle Program includes a range of interesting activities and outings, and we’ll help you maintain your connections to the people and places you love. All residents, regardless of faith, are welcome to attend on-site services and receive pastoral support.
A flexible approach to home-made meals
When it comes to food, there’s plenty of choice – just like home. Our dietician-approved menus offer variety and country favourites, and you can choose when and where you enjoy your meals. Our major investment in meal service includes state-of-the-art on-site kitchens and qualified chefs to offer residents even better quality meals.

A foundation of Christian values
Yaralla Place and Groundwater Lodge were built on a foundation of compassion, grace and inclusivity. Both communities continue to enjoy close ties with the local Presbyterian church as well as other local churches of different Christian denominations. All residents are welcome to attend on-site services, and receive pastoral support from the Maryborough Christian community.

Yaralla Place is located in the heart of Maryborough, in the beautiful Fraser Coast region. Close to everything this heritage town has to offer, and adjacent to the Maryborough Hospital, Yaralla is central and convenient. Groundwater Lodge is situated in the Granville suburb of Maryborough. Set on leafy acreage that was formally farmland, Groundwater has a relaxed and tranquil homestead feel.
